Speaker Johnson Confirms J6 Committee Investigation

Over the last few weeks, some startling revelations have come about regarding the January 6 Select Committee.

Specifically, it now appears that then-Rep. Liz Cheney (R-MT), who co-chaired the committee, was tampering with witnesses.

This not being a court of law, the same rules don’t apply, but the American people still have a right to know what games were being played, and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) announced that this will all be investigated in the upcoming term.

This week, Joe Biden announced that he was awarding Cheney with one of the highest American civilian honors, giving her the Presidential Citizens Medal.

Now, this used to be a big deal, but it has since become an award for big donors and friends, and in this case, people who tried to take out Donald Trump.

The award did not sit well with Republicans, including Johnson, who stated that Biden was “foolishly giving an award to members of Congress who intentionally and repeatedly lied to the American people.

“The Jan 6 Select Committee manipulated AND destroyed evidence – created a fake, phony narrative all to try and hurt Trump.

“They even hired a TV producer from the legacy media in a desperate attempt to legitimize what Americans knew was a total hoax and complete waste of time.”

Johnson concluded, “Be assured of this: House Republicans WILL continue our investigation into this corrupt committee and it will be FULLY FUNDED so it can continue next Congress.”

I have never hidden my disgust at what took place on January 6, as I would like to think that we, as conservatives, are better than that.

I have also stated numerous times that I do hold Trump accountable because he never should have been at that rally.

Having said that, I think many of the people charged were overcharged or should not have been charged at all, especially when you consider how they allowed so many rioters to walk free from the George Floyd rioting.

As far as the J6 Committee is concerned, those hearings were completely rigged with the evidence carefully selected, including edited video clips. This was an entertainment production, not a legitimate investigation.

This was all capped off with the revelation that Cheney was directly communicating with a key witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, to the point that after Cheney recommended an attorney change, Hutchinson’s testimony completely flipped, allegedly after being coached by Cheney as to what to say.

If that hearing was rigged, as most of us suspect, the American people have a right to know.
