Bill Clinton Admitted to Hospital
On Monday afternoon, the newswire erupted that Bill Clinton had been admitted to the hospital.
Early reports were that he was suffering a high fever, but it just seemed a bit overkill that they would take him to the hospital, and he would be admitted if that was all there was to this.
As it turns out, this was much ado about nothing, as Clinton was released from the hospital on Tuesday.
Cautious
I get that doctors are a bit more protective when you have a former president under your care, but I surely thought this was much worse.
All we heard was that Bill had a fever and was being admitted.
Later that day, Angel Urena, deputy chief of staff to Clinton, did offer a quick update, stating, “The president is fine.
“He remains in good spirits and deeply appreciates the excellent care he is receiving.”
It now appears that Bill just had a bad case of the flu.
On Tuesday, Urena updated everyone on what was going on with Bill.
She posted, "President Clinton was discharged earlier today after being treated for the flu. He and his family are deeply grateful for the exceptional care provided by the team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and are touched by the kind messages and well wishes he received.
"He sends his warmest wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season to all."
Clinton has had some health problems over the years, but overall, he has been fairly healthy.
Clinton’s big scare came in 2004 when he had quadruple bypass surgery.
In 2010, Bill had another surgery to insert stents, and in 2021, he had a urological infection.
I am guessing that Bill just got a bit worn down over the last few weeks because he has been out promoting his new book while having hit the campaign trail pretty hard for Harris during the final two weeks of the election.
