REPORT: Biden Misreported Troops in Syria
Once again, the Biden White House has been caught lying to the American people.
For months, the White House and Pentagon have stated that we have about 900 pairs of boots on the ground in Syria.
As it turns out, there are more than double that number in Syria.
Tell Me More Lies
On Thursday, Pentagon Press Secretary Pat Ryder spilled the beans regarding actual troop numbers in Syria.
As we noted above, for months, the White House has stated there were only 900 troops on the ground, but the real number is 2,000.
Ryder said the additional 1,100 troops were “temporary rotational forces.” But it gets much better. According to Ryder, he did not even have that information up until he gave this report.
Ryder stated, "We have been briefing you regularly that there are approximately 900 U.S. troops deployed to Syria.
"In light of the situation in Syria, and in significant interest, we’ve recently learned that those numbers were higher."
He further stated, "It was explained to me these additional forces are considered temporary rotational forces that deploy to meet shifting mission requirements, whereas the core 900 deployers are on longer-term deployments.
"As you know, for many of our deployments, numbers will fluctuate from time to time, but given that this number is significantly higher than what we've been briefing, I wanted to let you know, as soon as I found out this information."
Fox News’ Pentagon correspondent Jennifer Griffin pressed the issue due to the timing of all this, asking, "This is more than double the number of troops that we’ve been told for quite some time. So, are we talking about this has been going on for months? For Years? Is this something that just happened this summer? We need a time frame."
Ryder responded, "Yeah, I think it would probably be fair to say at a minimum, months. "I’ll go back and look. But it’s…yeah, it’s been going on for a while."
Keep in mind, during this time frame, Joe Biden was asked bluntly by reporters if, due to rising tensions in the area, would the United States be committing more troops to the Middle East, and he responded, “No.”
The very next day, it was announced that additional troops would be sent.
So, let’s ask this again… who is really running this country?
