Kai Trump's social media hints at preference for father's new love interest over old

Donald Trump, Jr.'s romance with former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle appears to have come to an end, but perhaps the more intriguing storyline centers on the young family member who seems to have some rather strong feelings about the situation.

A review of 17-year-old Kai Trump's social media accounts gives the distinct impression that she is not sorry to see Guilfoyle go, particularly given what looks to be her favorable disposition toward her father's new love interest, Bettina Anderson, as Inquisitr reports.

End of a love affair

Though Trump Jr. had been spotted around Palm Beach with socialite Anderson for at least several months, there had been no official confirmation that he had split with Guilfoyle, to whom he was engaged to be married.

Things seemed to take a turn in recent days, however, with Trump Jr. and Anderson appearing together in public and online amid a series of birthday celebrations for the 38-year-old, so-called “it” girl.

Not only did the pair dine at popular eatery Buccan, not far from Anderson's townhouse, they did so in full view of photographers they certainly knew were ready to capture their every move, as the Daily Mail noted.

Anderson also posted photos of birthday flowers and a gushing card she received from an admirer who called her “perfect,” all the while alluding to her new love.

The couple's most recent outings in the spotlight came as news broke that President-elect Donald Trump had named Guilfoyle as his nominee to become U.S. ambassador to Greece, a move that seemingly confirms the split with his son.

Kai's not-so-subtle hints

Spurring speculation that Kai Trump is not particularly saddened by the demise of her father's engagement is the fact that she does not follow Guilfoyle on social media, but she does keep up with Anderson's online presence.

Guilfoyle, for her part, does follow Kai Trump, but the imbalance could be indicative of underlying rancor between the two.

Adding grist to the rumor mill was Kai Trump's Election Night post to X in which she posted a group photo that included a large number of family members, and while she captioned the shot “the whole squad,” eagle-eyed observers realized that Guilfoyle was nowhere to be seen.

Kai Trump also shared Halloween snaps with her legions of followers that included her siblings, her father, and her mother, Vanessa Trump, but nothing that hinted at Guilfoyle's potential presence for the holiday.

It is not only Kai whose loyalty Anderson seems to have won, as Don Jr.'s new love recently posted a photo of a colorful cake from one of her multiple birthday fetes, noticeably adding “thank you @officialvanessatrump,” suggesting that even her boyfriend's ex-wife is a friend and fan.
