Gavin Newsom's water project facing backlash from climate advocates

Gov. Gavin Newsom likes to appeal to the liberals of California by pretending that he really cares about the environment and any climate crisis that might be happening.

However, Friends of the River, an environmental advocacy group, is sounding the alarm that everything about Newsom's climate agenda might be a little bit more sinister than previously thought.

Newsom has been HEAVILY promoting two different water projects lately, promising at least one of them to be the "single most important climate adaptation project in the U.S.."

Friends of the River does NOT agree unless you consider accelerating California's climate crisis important work.

While Newsom is trying to make people believe that his decisions are actually helping the environment, nothing could be further from the truth.

According to ABC, the advocacy group is claiming that Newsom's Sites Reservoir project would "significantly contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, particularly methane, which is a potent greenhouse gas. They estimate that the reservoir's average annual emissions would surpass those of more than 80,000 gas-powered passenger vehicles, undermining California's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2045."

The Delta Tunnel project is also under heavy scrutiny.

Friends of the River claims that the project "would increase the energy-intensive pumping of water through the State Water Project, the largest single energy user in California. They argue that this would lead to higher energy consumption and emissions, contradicting efforts to reduce the project's carbon footprint."

It's really saying something about Newsom's character when he is saying the opposite thing about our environment as environmental advocacy groups are!

There are rumors that liberals don't actually care about saving the planet, they just care about the agendas of their biggest donors.

Could Newsom's untrue spin on these environmental projects signal that he's a corrupt liar?

Well, we already knew he was. This is just more proof.
