REPORT: Secret Service Shot and Missed Trump Assassin Six Times
Fox News’ Jesse Watters is in disbelief right now.
Reports from the failed Trump assassination attempts are being published, and one of them was just a bit disturbing.
The report found that Secret Service agents fired at and missed the Trump golf course assassin six times.
How Is That Possible
Secret Service agents on the presidential detail are supposed to be the very best the agency has to offer in terms of skill and protection.
Since Trump is a former president and the top Republican candidate at the time, one would think he would have the same level of protection as Joe Biden, but that was clearly not the case.
The man who tried to kill Trump at this golf course, Ryan Wesley Routh, was hiding along the fence line waiting to kill Trump when he was spotted by agents checking holes ahead of Trump.
The report stated that agents spotted Routh, and they were only about five feet away when they opened fire… and missed.
Watters was befuddled by the report, stating, “He was only five feet away and he missed [Routh] not once, not twice, but six times.
“He missed him six times, from five feet. How does a trained agent who passed the firearms test miss a target five feet away?”
Watters was referring to the recently released congressional task force report, which stated, “The special agent, who may have been as close as five feet away from Routh, immediately responded by firing shots toward the suspect.
“It is believed six shots in total were fired; however, final ballistics are pending an ongoing FBI investigation.”
I am with Watters on this one, as the Secret Service talent level is clearly well below acceptable standards, and training is clearly lacking.
I guess that is what happens when you appoint an agency head who makes it clear she wants diversity over talent.
Thankfully, Kimberly Cheadle is gone, but her bloodline remains, and this must be atop Trump’s priorities to rectify as soon as he takes office.
