Zuckerberg’s META Donates $1 Million on Trump Inauguration Fund

It would appear that META boss Mark Zuckerberg wants to play nice with Donald Trump.

Reports broke on Wednesday that Zuckerberg’s META had donated a cool $1 million to the incoming president’s inauguration fund.

If Zuckerberg is trying to get Trump’s attention, I would say he just got it.

Mending Fences

It is no secret how Trump feels about social media companies after they all locked down the Hunter Biden laptop story while pushing the Russian collusion narrative, not to mention Trump being banned on several platforms.

Big Tech has unfairly censored conservatives for most of the last decade. In some cases, Zuckerberg has expressed regret and stated something like that will not happen with his company again.

Zuckerberg has been fairly quiet as of late, and he did not endorse any candidates in the last race.

Now that Trump is in office, Zuckerberg clearly wants to play ball with the new administration.

During the Thanksgiving holiday, Zuckerberg and Trump met at Mar-a-Lago during a holiday dinner event.

After the dinner, META stated, "It's an important time for the future of American Innovation. Mark was grateful for the invitation to join President Trump for dinner and the opportunity to meet with members of his team about the incoming Administration.”

Zuckerberg has made it quite clear that he would love to be involved in how this administration addresses the big tech issue.

I doubt Trump is there with him yet, but if he continues to fawn over Trump, we know that works to get his attention (just look at how Elon Musk has been able to get into Trump’s inner circle).

From my perspective, I hope Trump keeps Zuckerberg at arm’s length and holds him accountable for everything he has done to this point.

Unfortunately, I think Zuckerberg will eventually worm his way into Trump’s good graces and help set policy.

We will keep our eyes and ears to the cement for any updates on this situation.
