Trump Has Lost Faith in the NRA

A report hit this weekend that shook things up quite a bit.

The report claims that Donald Trump has lost faith in the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Needless to say, the NRA is a major backer for the GOP, and there is a rift between this group and Trump, it could make for a bumpy road ahead.

Lost Faith

The news first broke in a New York Times report that claimed to have a letter from NRA First Vice President Bill Bachenberg about Trump.

The letter reportedly stated, “I can say for a fact that President Trump and his inner circle have lost faith in the NRA.”

Bachenburg also noted, “I communicate with them often. We have a tremendous amount of work to rebuild trust with them, just like our members and donors.”

When Trump was asked about the report, his office responded, “President Trump believes that every American has a God-given right to protect themselves and their family, and he will defend law-abiding gun owners.”

Trump has apparently been digging into donors for the Democrat Party, and on that list he found the name of attorney William A. Brewer III.

Brewer has represented the NRA in numerous cases, with the organization having paid him millions in legal fees over the years, and that is a sore spot for Trump.

During the last NRA convention where Trump appeared, he stated, “We need the Second Amendment for safety. Forget about going hunting and all the things you do — we need it for safety. Because you know the bad guys are not giving up their guns. The bad ones are not giving up their guns.”

Over the last decade or so, scandals and constant attacks from Democrats have taken their toll on the NRA, which has lost some of its swagger.

I would expect that leadership will take this as a wake-up call because if the NRA loses MAGA, it is pretty much done.
