Arizona man faces charges for threatening Donald Trump, family
A man from Arizona has been arrested after authorities confirmed that it was him who had been making threats online to kill President Donald J. Trump.
The threats eventually escalated to the man claiming he would also kill members of Trump's family.
The criminal has been identified as Manuel Tamayo-Torres, and this is NOT his first run-in with the law.
Tamayo-Torres has had plenty of experience with police in the past. For example, he served five years in prison in California as a result of a felony assault conviction.
Last year, his wife also filed a protective order against him.
Not only was Tamayo-Torres recording these threatening videos and posting them almost daily, but he was also displaying a WEAPON in the videos.
In America, you REALLY shouldn't say you're going to kill the president.
If you do that while also holding a gun, you can bet a law enforcement response will soon follow.
Perhaps the most disturbing video of all was the Nov. 21 video in which Tamayo-Torres threatened Donald Trump and said that his entire family would die.
It didn't take long for Tamayo-Torres to be arrested. He had fled to Southern California from Arizona and was apprehended on November 25.
According to The National Pulse, "the charges against Torres include one count of making threats against the President-elect and four counts of providing false statements during a firearm purchase."
Regardless of whether you agree with the politicians in power in America or not, it is NEVER okay to threaten violence against them. This is true when liberals are upset about Trump, and conservatives must also treat liberal elected leaders with love and respect as well.
Not every politician is a good egg, but the way to weed them out is to let democracy take care of things. Violence is NOT the answer in American politics.
Manuel Tamayo-Torres just learned that the hard way.
