Bill Clinton Still Making Excuses for Hillary’s Presidential Loss

Here we are, nearly a decade later, and the Clintons still cannot let go of the fact that Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump.

Bill Clinton was adamant after the 2016 election that the loss was all Comey’s fault.

Now, after the 2024 election, he is still pushing the narrative that Comey was the deciding factor.

Hillary Lost... Deal With It

Hillary, like Kamala Harris, was a bad candidate who ran a horrible campaign.

Just like Harris did down the stretch, Hillary went full negative, emphasizing that she was not the bad orange man rather than policy.

Her campaign was livid when then-FBI Director James Comey reopened the email investigation just weeks before election day.

Hillary had already been through a lengthy investigation on this, so there is just no way I believe that announcement flipped enough voters to influence the election to the point that Trump had an electoral landslide.

Bill Clinton, at the time, stated, “James Comey cost her the election.”

He still believes that, as this is Bill after the results of the 2024 election…

Here’s the thing about the 2016 election.

Hillary won the popular vote by about three million votes, and she has just two states to thank for that, California and New York.

Hillary won California by nearly 4.3 million, and she won New York by more than 1.7 million. So, take out her margin in those two states, and Hillary lost the rest of the country by about two million votes.

She won the popular vote because Trump did not even bother trying to crack the two Democrat strongholds and concentrated on battleground states.

The difference this time is that Trump was confident he had the battleground states locked up, so he spent additional time in New York, California, and other states where he knew he would lose, but he wanted to cut down on the popular vote advantage.

Stop whining, Bill… Hillary lost.
