MN Election Judge Facing Charges After Allowing Illegal Votes

I keep saying the same thing… why do we have election laws if even judges are not enforcing them?

The latest case was in Minnesota, where a judge knowingly allowed the acceptance of illegal votes.

According to reports, Timothy Michael Scouton allowed people to vote even though they were not officially registered.

Breaking the Law

Scouton is now being charged for allegedly allowing people who were not properly registered to vote to cast a vote in the election.

Scouton was serving as the head election judge for Badoura Township Precinct in Hubbard County, Minnesota.

An election auditor notified local police that 11 people had cast votes even though they did not properly fill out their registration forms.

When the votes were challenged, Scouton allowed them to pass through, even though he had been specifically trained on this issue.

Authorities interviewed several other judges in the county, one claiming she knew nothing about the proper forms and another claiming that Scouton told them not use the forms.

The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office took Scouton into custody, and the MN Secretary of State has confirmed that Scouton will be charged.

The office stated, "These allegations are extremely serious and must be fully and thoroughly investigated.

"Election judges take an oath to administer elections in accordance with the law, a deliberate failure to do so is unlawful and a betrayal of the public trust. Minnesota’s elections rely on the dedication and public service of 30,000 people and they are required to conduct their work fairly, impartially, and within the letter of the law.

“The Hubbard County Auditor took prompt and correct action in notifying local authorities of the uncovered discrepancies so they could investigate."

This is just brazen, and once again proves that while voter fraud may not be on a scale to impact a general election, it clearly exists, and it can definitely impact local races.
