Even Dems tiring of Nancy Pelosi making election excuses
Rep. Nancy Pelosi just got burned by multiple House Democrats after her recent comments surrounding the election.
Pelosi is not happy about the election results, and according to her, President Joe Biden is to blame.
Now, after several Biden-blaming comments were dropped by Pelosi, House Democrats have HAD ENOUGH.
According to Axios news, multiple House Democrats have said that Pelosi needs to allow House Minority Leader Hakeem Jefferies of New York to actually lead the House Democrats.
The comments which aggravated House Democrats, came from Pelosi's appearance on a New York Times Podcast called The Interview, where she let her feelings about the election fly.
According to Pelosi, the elections results could have “been different” if Biden had dropped out sooner.
In fact, Pelosi said in the interview that she believes “had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race.”
Pelosi also noted that Biden’s decision to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris “made it almost impossible to have a primary at that time.”
Now, Democrats have had ENOUGH of Pelosi’s “scattershot comments” going on to call them “damaging.”
One top Democrat told Axios that Pelosi should “take a seat” and that her “making scattershot comments is not just unhelpful, it’s damaging.”
“Hakeem has been tremendously graceful and respectful of her, but I don’t think she is being respectful of him,” a Congressional Black Caucus member told Axios.
“I understand that this is a difficult transition for her, not being the leader, but she is not. She needs to understand what her new role is,” he continued.
Yikes.
It seems like House Democrats are at the end of their rope with Nancy Pelosi’s remarks.
Do you think Nancy Pelosi will be able to adjust to her new role in the House moving forward?
