French Court Convicts 18 in Migrant Smuggling Trial
The United States is far from the only country having immigration issues due to liberal policies in play.
A recent case that came through the French courts shows that we are not alone.
In that case, 18 people were convicted in a migrant smuggling trial.
Guilty, as Charged
The case focused on human smuggling rings that were operating in the sea from France to the United Kingdom.
The rings were taking migrants into very dangerous waters in flimsy boats, all while charging exorbitant fees for the “service.”
The pan-European police's sting operation resulted in dozens of arrests and the seizure of equipment, such as boats, engines, life jackets, and the like.
Sentences ranged from two years to 10 years for most of the defendants.
The person who was deemed to be the ringleader, however, received 15 years and a massive fine.
Attorney Kamel Abbas stated, "These sentences are obviously very severe.
"That's a testimony of the scale of the case, and of the intention to severely punish the smugglers."
Craig Turner, deputy director of the British National Crime Agency (NCA), also commented on the case.
Turner stated, “Their sole motive was profit, and they didn’t care about the fate of migrants they were putting to sea in wholly inappropriate and dangerous boats.
“We are putting more resources into disrupting and dismantling the criminal gangs behind it than ever before.”
It is good to see that someone gets it because the Democrats in this country do not seem to understand that their open-borders policy is impacting everything negatively.
In reality, this is and always has been about power for Democrats, which is why Biden and Harris were pushing so hard for immunity for all the illegals they have allowed into the country over the last four years.
If they can give them a path to citizenship, that adds roughly 10 million voters to their base, more or less handing them the power for the next few decades.
Hopefully, Trump will deport every single one of them and ban them all from ever entering this country again.
To me, that would be the best deterrent to help stop illegal immigration.
