Dr. Phil Appears to Walk Back Donald Trump Endorsement

About a week ago, Dr. Phil spoke at a Trump event in New York City, where he endorsed Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, Dr. Phil seemed to walk about back a bit.

Now that Trump has won the election, Dr. Phil may want to walk back his walk back!

I Take It Back

Dr. Phil was very clever about how he supported Trump at that rally, claiming that he was supporting him while not actually endorsing him.

Dr. Phil stated, “No human is perfect. We don’t strive for perfection. We strive for excellence, but you don’t have to love everything about someone in order to love them, and the last thing he needs is some celebrity endorsement.”

He later added, “There is an imbalance of power there, and it is time that every one of us close ranks. We have to stop this now. It’s time that we push back against cancel culture. It’s time that we push back against intimidation tactics.”

Most people took that as an endorsement, but on Tuesday, Dr. Phil insisted that he never actually endorsed Trump, and was not endorsing Trump.

Dr. Phil told Morgan that his speech at the Trump rally was “an act of rebellion.”

He further stated that he contacted the Harris campaign more than two dozen times and offered to give the same speech he gave at the Trump rally, but they never took him up on his offer.

You guys all know that I don’t really put a lot of weight behind celebrity endorsements, and I surely don’t think that Dr. Phil moved the needle.

But I will call him a coward for trying to walk the line without really holding a real stance here.

If I had any respect for Dr. Phil, it has now dissipated. This was just a cowardly move on his part so as not to risk offending anyone.
