Judge Gives Musk Giveaway the Thumbs Up

Democrats were livid when Elon Musk announced his $1 million daily giveaway to registered voters in key battleground states.

Musk was not paying people to register, only requiring registration to participate in his contest, which actually centered around signing a petition to protect constitutional rights.

Democrats said this was illegal, so they sued to stop the promotion, but Musk ultimately won.

Give It Away

After deciding to back Trump in the election, Musk started the America PAC.

Aside from supporting Trump, driving voter registration was a primary goal of the PAC.

Must was offering sign-up bonuses and a very high hourly wage to those willing to work to drive voter registration in key battleground states.

He also started a $1 million daily giveaway, which Dems claimed was illegal, saying that Musk was paying people to register to vote.

That, however, was not entirely true.

Musk was giving away $1 million to people who signed his petition to protect First and Second Amendment rights, but a qualifier was that you had to be registered to vote in order to be eligible.

A loophole for sure, but not illegal, which was recently confirmed by Common Pleas Court Judge Angelo Foglietta after Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner tried to block.

The Philly DA stated, "This was all a political marketing masquerading as a lottery.”

We should note, it was also never really a lottery, and never touted as such by Musk.

For instance, even though Musk used the word “random” initially, he cleaned it up the next day, likely on the advice of attorneys.

Musk stated, "Every day, from now through Nov 5, @America PAC will be giving away $1M to someone in swing states who signed our petition to support free speech & the right to bear arms!

"We want to make sure that everyone in swing states hears about this and I suspect this will ensure they do."

It was later confirmed by America PAC attorney Chris Gober, who stated, "The $1 million recipients are not chosen by chance.

"We know exactly who will be announced as the $1 million recipient today and tomorrow."

I found it rather amusing, after having received about 100 political texts in the last few days, that Krasner said it was a scam “for their information.”

Well, the government appears to use my information to spam me with political garbage, so at least these people had a shot to win $1 million.

I would also note that we have seen giveaways on the left, albeit for much smaller amounts, throughout various election cycles.

Dems are just upset that conservatives are flipping the script and using their own playbook to beat them this time around.
