TV Executive Panicking Over Trump Winning Presidency
An article popped up in the New York Magazine's Intelligencer this week that is worth mentioning.
It was an interview with a TV executive who is pushing the panic button of a second Trump presidency, but not for the reason you would think.
The executive is worried that if Trump wins, it will show that our mainstream media has no influence on voters.
Not Its Purpose
I have to admit, when I first saw this report, I was beyond disturbed at what was implied by this executive.
The author of the article, Charlotte Klein, was told that if Trump wins, “it’s going to change everything.”
The individual added, "If half the country has decided that Trump is qualified to be president, that means they're not reading any of this media, and we’ve lost this audience completely.
“A Trump victory means mainstream media is dead in its current form.”
The executive continued, "You’ve got the major disruptions underpinning everything — strategically, platform-wise, consumer technology — no matter what happens in the election.
"And then if Trump wins, all of a sudden you’ve got this other pressure on everything. There’s brand damage. He undermines trust in the media. It’s just going to add a level of complexity."
That statement just confirmed pretty much everything I have been saying about the mainstream media since Donald Trump first took office.
The job of the mainstream media is not to influence people one way or another regarding any candidate, let alone a presidential candidate.
The job of the media is to report the news, truthfully, but that never happens anymore.
A recent interview with Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) was a great example of this, as he called out the host of the show on the spot for pulling a small snippet of a comment by Trump and using it as a basis to attack Trump.
When the comment was taken in its full context, it had a far different meaning, which was Donalds' point.
This is a shocking admission by a TV executive that the media has been purposely trying to influence viewers against Donald Trump to give Harris and Democrats the edge.
That is not free press; that is state-run media, and that is what we see in communist countries.
I have never felt more vindicated, ever, in something that I have written about on these pages.
I only wish the executive would have given his or her name so I could personally thank them and then hammer them for being an arm of the Democrat Party.
