Trump Alleges Voter Fraud in Lancaster and York Counties
I told you guys that Trump would be watching battleground states like a hawk for voter fraud allegations.
I can guarantee you that if Trump loses this election, he will immediately claim it was stolen.
To that point, after a voter fraud investigation was reported in Pennsylvania, Trump pounced.
Voter Fraud Investigation
Lancaster and York (PA) recently announced an investigation into the filing of fraudulent voter registration forms.
It took Trump about three seconds to pounce on this, posting, "Really bad 'stuff.' ... Law Enforcement must do their job, immediately!!!"
Trump then claimed that there were “2600 Fake Ballots and Forms,” but that has not been reported.
What has been reported is that thousands of voter registration forms have been flagged for potential fraud, which is a significant difference.
We have seen in the past where large numbers of forms are forwarded to be checked, with only a small percentage of them being proven to have been fraudulent.
York County Chief Clerk Gregory Monskie explained, “We are working through processing that information, which we expect will be completed by the end of the day (Tuesday).
"At that point, any potential or suspected fraudulent materials will be turned over to the York County District Attorney's office for investigation."
York County President Commissioner Julie Wheeler added, "It's not unusual to get large stacks of voter registrations or large stacks of requests for mail-in ballots, it's just this was an overabundance of registrations from one particular organization."
Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams stated that election workers had noticed that some of the ballots that came in were for different people but appeared to have the same handwriting.
She also stated that in other cases, the information on the forms was correct, but the individual who received the ballot had stated they had never requested an absentee ballot.
I have never denied that there is election fraud, but I think the amount of fraud that actually takes place cannot impact a general election save for some very rare exceptions.
Having said that, there should be zero election fraud, especially since we often see local elections decided by just a few dozen votes, where even minimal fraud can change the outcome.
Make no bones about it, our election officials need to get this problem fixed, and it is shocking after all the claims that were made in 2020, we continue to have the same problems in the same areas around the country.
