Walz and AOC Play Madden… and It Flops

Kamala Harris’ VP, Governor Tim Walz, and AOC decided to play Madden on Twitch to make their case to younger male voters.

Neither of them had a clue what they were doing, and it showed.

The real hit, however, came when someone in Walz’ communication team put up a post on X that was simply embarrassing for a former football coach.

The Pick 6 Play

Walz so desperately wants to be a man’s man, posting just before he took on AOC, "Sundays are for football! Game on, AOC.”

Then the two proceeded to talk about Project 2025 as if it were written in stone that would be the gameplan for Trump.

Meanwhile, it appeared to be the first time either of them had played the game.

The final score was 0-0, so this was some earth-shattering gameplay, but Walz’s team tried to get the most out of it afterward.

Walz, or more likely one of his interns, posted on X, “@AOC can run a mean pick 6 — and I can call an audible on a play.”

Walz is a former football coach, so I would hope he knows there is no such thing as running a pick 6.

The entire post sounded as though it was meant to appeal to toddlers rather than voting-age males, which just goes to show how out of touch this campaign really is.

Trump’s campaign pounced on it, as did JD Vance, who told a rally crowd, “You don’t run a pick-six, you run the West Coast offense or the spread offense.

“It made me realize that even though they say Tim Walz was a football coach, I think I know more about football than Tim Walz. And it’s appropriate ’cause I think my running mate, Donald J. Trump, knows more about working at McDonald’s than Kamala Harris does.”

I think we can all agree this was another epic fail by Walz, something the Harris campaign can ill afford with election day now only one day out and early voting in full swing.
