DOD, FBI Investigating Intelligence Leaks
If there is one thing that we have learned about the Biden administration it is that it is very good at leaking information.
Yet again, classified information has been leaked from this administration and posted on a messaging platform.
Now, both the Department of Justice and the FBI are reportedly investigating the leak.
Put It Out There
After the massive strike against Israel by Iran on October 1, Israel vowed to conduct a retaliatory strike.
This did not exactly make Joe Biden happen, asking Israel to dial it down since the missiles were intercepted by the Iron Dome.
Israel announced it would not be holding back, then information about a possible strike plan was leaked online.
Documents were posted on Telegram that appeared to originate from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
Another document appeared to originate from the National Security Agency (NSA).
The documents appeared to show the movement of both equipment and personnel by Israel, more than likely troop movements related to its possible retaliatory strike.
White House national security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters, "We're deeply concerned, and the president remains deeply concerned about any leakage of classified information into the public domain. That is not supposed to happen, and it's unacceptable when it does, so he's deeply concerned about that.”
Mick Mulroy, an ABC News national security and defense contributor, commented on the leak, stating, "If it is true that Israel's tactical plans to respond to Iran's attack on Oct. 1 have been leaked, it is a serious breach.
"Everyone that has access to this information has an obligation to keep it secure.
"The men and women of the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] that would carry out this mission could be compromised because of this, the future coordination between the U.S. and Israel could be challenged as well."
Maybe I am being over-analytical here, but does anyone else find it less than a coincidence that Biden was pressuring Israel to back off, and then the information was leaked?
As I have always stated, Jethro Gibbs did not believe in coincidences, and neither do I.
