Harris Agrees with Protester on Israel Committing Genocide
Kamala Harris may have made a fatal mistake on the campaign trail last week.
Harris appeared to call out Israel when someone in her rally audience accused Israel of committing genocide.
Harris agreed, saying, “Listen, what he’s talking about, it’s real.”
Betraying an Ally
I would be the first person to call out Israel if I thought the country was committing war crimes during this war against Hamas, but I do not believe that to be the case.
Civilian deaths are, unfortunately, a reality of war, more so when you have an enemy like Hamas that hides among civilians.
I believe that Israel has done everything it can to minimize civilian deaths, even passing on strikes at times because of the collateral damage that would have taken place.
But, as we all know, there are people in this country, including members of Congress, who are accusing Israel of committing genocide, expecting Israel to be able to have zero civilian deaths.
To that point, during Harris' recent rally in Wisconsin, she was interrupted by someone in the crowd.
The microphone did not pick up the initial comments, but Harris responded, "I know what you're speaking of. I want a cease-fire. I want the hostage deal done. I want the war to end.”
The protester then asked, "But what about the genocide? What about the genocide though?"
Harris then tried to use her patented “I’m speaking now” response, but the protester refused to back down, asking her again, "How about the billions of dollars to Israel? What about the 19,000 children dead, and you won't call it a genocide?"
He was then removed from the event, but Harris responded, "Listen, what he’s talking about, it’s real. That’s not the subject that I came to discuss today, but it’s real, and I respect his voice."
Former U.S. ambassador to Israel under Donald Trump, David Friedman, was outraged that Harris even entertained that thought.
He stated, “Kamala Harris just publicly validated the false and vicious accusation that Israel is engaging in genocide.
“Many, including myself, always suspected that she held this warped, antisemitic view of Israel’s self-defense against Hamas barbarism. But the cat is now out of the bag.
“Her view is as ignorant as it is malign. … To give credence publicly to this disgusting blood libel disqualifies Harris from holding any public office, let alone the presidency.”
Even though Harris clearly agreed with the man, when the Harris campaign was asked to respond to Friedman’s comments on the matter, her campaign stated, “That is not the view of the Biden-Harris Administration or the Vice President.”
So, this is another case of what Harris meant to say rather than what was actually said and was caught on video.
I think we can all agree that Harris made her stance quite clear, regardless of what the talking heads for her campaign are now trying to spin.
