Bill Clinton Blames Lack of Vetting for Laken Riley Death While Campaigning for Harris

Bill Clinton needs to do a better job of vetting his facts.

While on the campaign trail in Georgia for Harris, Clinton brought up the death of Laken Riley.

Riley was brutally beaten by an illegal immigrant while out walking.

Oops

Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student, was brutally murdered in an attack that horrified the nation.

Clinton stated, “You got a case in Georgia not very long ago, didn’t you — they made an ad about it — a young woman who had been killed by an immigrant.

“Yeah, well, if they’d all been properly vetted that probably wouldn’t have happened.”

Clinton blamed Donald Trump and Republicans for blocking the ridiculous “bipartisan” immigration legislation that was proposed.

Now, there were some decent aspects of the legislation, but it also included some utterly ridiculous measures that the GOP as a whole would never support.

Riley was allegedly killed by Jose Ibarra, a Venezuelan migrant who has ties to the dangerous Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang, having entered the country in September 2022.

The legislation to which Clinton referred was proposed earlier this year, so there is no way that legislation would have impacted the Riley murder, so Clinton is spreading misinformation.

Clinton also stated, "For the last three years, the Biden-Harris administration has done increasingly tough things, trying to control the border. And illegal crossings have gone down every year for three years. Our friends in the other party don't want to talk about that.”

Now, that may be true in Georgia, but we all know nationally that does not hold, as Biden has had record-setting immigration every month and year through this year, when he magically locked down the border because it was an election year.

That does not even account for the programs that Biden put in place to make illegal immigration legal, such as the app that more or less guaranteed asylum.

Democrats continuously state that they want to fight misinformation going out during the election season.

Well, they can start by fact-checking Bill Clinton’s speech.
