REPORT: Tensions Rising Between Harris and Biden
According to recent reports, all is not well in the Biden-Harris universe.
With Harris’ campaign losing ground to Trump, finger-pointing has begun.
There are also reports that tensions between Harris campaign staffers and Biden administration officials are getting a little warm.
Tough Times
Harris’ team does not feel as though Biden is making statements and policy decisions that are taking her campaign into account.
Here, I thought a presidential administration was about the people of this country, not a candidate.
Harris campaign staffers did not even hide this when talking to Axios, without giving their names, of course.
One staffer had the audacity to say, "The White House is lacking someone in the room thinking first and foremost about how things would affect the campaign.”
Well, this is what happens when you push someone out the door and completely alienate him from your campaign.
It was bad enough they stole the nomination from Biden, but not using him as a surrogate clearly got under his skin.
To that last point, and I am sure this is an example of what they are talking about, after Harris attacked DeSantis for being selfish, Biden stuck up for DeSantis and stated that he was doing an amazing job.
Biden also walked into the White House briefing room for the first time during this presidency, and it just happened to be when Harris was holding a rally in Michigan.
When that happened, many staffers thought he was purposely trying to steal some of Harris’ thunder that day.
The White House, of course, has denied any of the allegations in the report, stating, “Everyone from the president on down knows how important the election is, and we always anticipated a number of staff would want to transition from the administration to the campaign for the final stretch.”
I believe that about as much as I believe Joe Biden’s train story.
