Harris campaign facing backlash over Obama attempt to sway Black male voters

Vice President Kamala Harris is likely FUMING after her campaign's latest screw up.

It came from someone you may not expect -- former President Barack Obama.

Obama may have negatively impacted Harris’ campaign endeavors after calling on Black men to show up to vote for Harris.

The former president let it fly at a campaign event in Pittsburgh, saying that even Kamala Harris’ campaign has now raised nearly a billion dollars, they have not “seen the same kinds of energy and turnout in all quarters of our neighborhoods and communities as we saw when I was running.”

Obama did not stop there, continuing to say that the issue seems to be “more pronounced with the brothers.”

“You’re coming up with all kinds of reasons and excuses; I’ve got a problem with that. Because part of it makes me think — and I’m speaking to men directly — part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that,” Obama said.

At the end of the day, what Obama said was a sexist accusation against the men of the Black community.

Why did he think that would go over well?

As you might assume, he immediately faced SERIOUS backlash for his comment regarding the notion that Black men do not want a woman as president.

One of those to come forward and call Obama out was former Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner.

Turner sat down with CNN, and that is where she gave her thoughts on the matter.

“Unless President Barack Obama is gonna go out and lecture every other group of men from other identity groups, my message for Democrats is don’t bring it here to Black men who by and large don’t vote much differently from Black women,” Turner said.

It’s safe to say that Obama’s little motivational speech backfired BIG TIME.

Do you think Harris’ votes will be negatively impacted by Obama’s mistake?
