Trump Calls on for CBS to Lose License After Heavily Edited Harris Interview
This week, “60 Minutes” aired its election special with an interview of Kamala Harris.
However, the interview appears to be heavily edited after the network released a snippet of Harris giving an answer that was completely different from the answer given during the regular show.
Donald Trump is now calling foul, and he is really getting the hornet’s nest upset.
Fake News Scam
This is the snippet that caused all the uproar from Trump…
Trump went ballistic, and rightfully so.
He posted on Truth Social, "A giant Fake News Scam by CBS & 60 Minutes.
"Her REAL ANSWER WAS CRAZY, OR DUMB, so they actually REPLACED it with another answer in order to save her or, at least, make her look better. A FAKE NEWS SCAM, which is totally illegal.
"TAKE AWAY THE CBS LICENSE
"Election Interference. She is a Moron, and the Fake News Media wants to hide that fact. An UNPRECEDENTED SCANDAL!!! The Dems got them to do this and should be forced to concede the Election? WOW!"
FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel responded, "While repeated attacks against broadcast stations by the former President may now be familiar, these threats against free speech are serious and should not be ignored.
"As I’ve said before, the First Amendment is a cornerstone of our democracy.
“The FCC does not and will not revoke licenses for broadcast stations simply because a political candidate disagrees with or dislikes content or coverage."
First, Trump’s statement is not a threat against Free Speech. What the show did is unfathomable, either creatively editing the answer or changing it for another answer to make her look good.
Either way, the American people deserve to see the full and unedited interview.
This is so bad that even former staffers at CBS News are calling for an investigation to see how badly that interview was manipulated to make Harris look better to voters.
Second, this is actually the second dust-up at CBS because another anchor was ripped by network leadership for asking tough questions of an author who wrote a controversial book that was pro-Palestine.
Afterward, ownership called out upper management, supporting the journalist for having the courage to ask the tough questions that needed to be asked, especially since the author, at least on the surface, appeared to be taking a pro-terror, anti-Israel stance.
State-run media, my friends, and now we know the FCC actually supports it.
