Al Pacino Says He Nearly Died from COVID
You just have love when stars are out of the news cycle for a while, then they figure out a way to make it all about themselves.
In this case, legendary actor Al Pacino revealing what he says was a “near death” experience in 2020 from COVID.
The actor stated that at one point, he had no pulse, and he was “gone, like that.”
Near Death
I always question when stories like this come out years after they allegedly happened.
In this case, would it not have been beneficial for people to know about his experience when it happened to encourage them to get checked?
Instead, he decided to wait for four years when he needed a headline.
Pacino mentioned the incident during a recent interview with the New York Times.
Pacino described his bout with COVID, stating, "I was sitting there in my house, and I was gone, like that.
"Absolutely gone. So then they looked at my pulse, and I didn't have a pulse. It probably was very, very low, and they got panicked right away."
Pacino then stated that an ambulance arrived at his home to treat him, and he finally came back around waking up to paramedics and doctors standing over him.
There was no “white light” to go to, according to Pacino, which made him start to think about what happens after death.
Pacino has every reason to live a bit longer right now, having become a new father at the age of 83.
He and his girlfriend Noor Alfallah, 30, recently had a baby boy, Pacino’s fourth child. He has three other children from two previous relationships.
Many thought Pacino would be upset over the pregnancy, but he seems to embrace it.
He stated, "You look at it a little differently now. You look at it like, 'What is this? This is so amazing.'"
