Port Union Boss Living the Luxury Life

The irony of this story is amusing.

Joe Biden loves to call himself a union man, saying these unions stick up for the little guys.

Well, one of those union guys stuck it to Biden pretty good when port workers around the country went on strike.

Big Money at Stake

Recently, Biden handed unions $36 billion of taxpayer dollars to keep their pensions flush.

These are the same unions that donate hundreds of millions to Democrat campaigns every cycle and have a list a mile-long of union officials who make six- and seven-figure salaries.

This week, nearly 50,000 members of the Longshoreman’s Union went on strike, which freezes up supply chains and if it is prolonged, will create all kinds of shortages around the country.

They want more money, a lot more money, but this is where the real irony kicks in…

Harold Daggett is the union boss holding the ports hostage to get more money for his workers.

Daggett lives in a home that you and I can never even dream about owning.

The home sprawls across 7,136 square feet, with a five-car garage and a Bentley parked in the driveway.

The home sits on a 10-acre lot, about 50 miles outside of New York City.

The home is worth nearly $3 million, for a man who makes a salary of $728,000 plus all those kickbacks you know he is getting.

He also gets another $173,000 from a local union.

To my earlier point, in 2005, Dagget was charged with giving union contracts to firms that were willing to pay kickbacks to the mob.

When Dagget was asked about freezing up the ports, he made a choking gesture around his neck and added, “I’ll cripple you. I will cripple you and you have no idea what that means. Nobody does”

The strike impacts the economy to the tune of about $3 billion per day when we are already struggling.

This is why I don’t like unions… it’s not the workers, it is the corrupt leadership that is overpaid, corrupt, and stealing from the till, then they tap a Democrat to bail them out.

The sad reality is that the necessity of the ports being opened will result in these corrupt people getting exactly what they want, and the machine will just continue to run while the little people like you and I pay the price.
