Top Adams Aide Resigns Amid Indictment of Eric Adams

The fallout for New York Mayor Eric Adams has begun.

Last week, Adams was indicted on numerous charges centered around accepting money for his campaign from foreign donors.

Timothy Pearson, a top aide for Adams, has submitted his resignation as a result of the scandal.

Once feds started seizing phones and documents, Pearson had enough.

His attorney, Hugh H. Mo, announced the resignation as well as Pearson’s innocence in the matter.

He stated, “Pearson has decided to resign so the Mayor could restructure his team. Pearson denies any wrongdoings.”

Mo also lit up the media, accusing them of reporting “false and defamatory allegations not supported by facts in pending civil suits and rumors of corruption in migrant services contracts before any charges have been filed.”

Pearson and Adams served together in the NYPD.

Adams is facing a slew of charges, including accepting “improper valuable benefits” including luxury international travel from wealthy foreign businesspeople.

Adams is also fighting off charges that his campaign funds were boosted by foreign donors, which allowed him to take advantage of the match funding program for candidates.

Adams says he is innocent, and, like Donald Trump, the government has been weaponized against him for speaking up against the immigration failures of this administration.

He stated, “I ask you to wait and hear our side of this narrative. From here, my attorneys will take care of the case, so I can take care of the city.

“My day-to-day will not change. I will continue to do the job for 8.3 million New Yorkers that I was elected to do.”

If the charges are accurate, the once bright and rising star of the party is ruined.

If, however, the DOJ swings and misses, it will be one more scandal to add to Biden’s legacy of trying to destroy his political opponents.
