Whoopi Dismisses Actor's Notion He Will Be Blackballed for Supporting Trump

This week on “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg took on comments made by “Shazam!” actor Zachary Levi.

Levi noted that by coming out and openly supporting Trump, he was probably committing “career suicide.”

Levi claimed Hollywood is a “very liberal town,” but Goldberg said that is not true.

It is no secret that Hollywood is dominated by liberals.

All one needs to do is look at the number of actors who have come out to support Harris and Biden over the people who have come out to support Trump.

Now, this does not mean it was always that ways, but today’s Hollywood is clearly liberal.

Goldberg disagreed, stating, "We are mixed, like America is, we’re mixed. We’re a mixed bunch and sometimes it may seem like there’s more Democrats and sometimes it seems like there’s more Republicans, but the truth of the matter is, very few people seem to bite it because they’re Republican. Jon Voight… she offered up on one name of the thousands of actors in Hollywood who still manages to get gigs.

Co-host Sunny Hostin suggested more actors should come forward to make use of their platform.

She stated, "I think that we are at an inflection point in our country.

"This election matters more than any election of my lifetime. We may not have elections after this election, if the former president wins, and so if you have a platform and you are willing to use it, heavy is the head that wears the crown.

“I don’t care who you’re endorsing. I don’t care if you’re endorsing the former president, I don’t care if you’re endorsing madam vice president, but I do care if you are not engaged and informed."

That, however, is a lie, as we have all heard the comments they make about people who are supporting Donald Trump.

I will even take the flip side of that regarding entertainers endorsing Harris. Taylor Swift has been raked over the coals for her endorsement, with Trump openly stating that the “hates” her.

Me, well, I don’t really care who people endorse because I do not let that dictate my music, movies, or sports teams.

If I did, I would be sitting in a dark apartment every day because I would have to boycott just about everything.

Having said that, let’s not pretend you don’t pay a price in this country for being a conservative.

Whoopi knows it’s true because she is part of the problem, vilifying conservatives on a daily basis.

It’s their way or the highway… that is just what this country has become.
