Sexting scandal has Cheryl Hines 'considering' divorce from RFK Jr

According to DailyMail.com's sources, Cheryl Hines's close friends predict that she will divorce RFK Jr. following his strange affair with the much younger journalist Olivia Nuzzi. 

A close associate of 59-year-old TV actress Jennifer Hines claimed in an exclusive interview that Hines was "blindsided" by the scandal and had thought her husband's infidelity had ended, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

The friend cited the couple's history, saying "Cheryl found ten years of marriage with Bobby to be 'spicier and a lot of laughs,'" the source, a longtime friend, told DailyMail.com.

"She adored being a member of America's royal family, and having the famous Kennedy name attached to hers, but now she's thoroughly embarrassed and furious about his adulterous actions and they believe she wants out."

RFK's Past Indiscretions

The insider went on to say "Cheryl was always very aware that Bobby had a long history of womanizing. She herself had become very publicly involved with him when he was still married to his second wife, so his playing around wasn't anything new to her.

"However, she firmly believed Bobby, in his seventh decade and with political aspirations, finally had his sex demons under control, and appeared settled down in their seemingly bucolic southern California domestic life.

As far as how she responded to recent headline-inducing information about the former presidential candidate, she was apparently not at all ready to cope with the news.

"She now feels totally blindsided and humiliated. His affair with that woman, Olivia Nuzzi, has wreaked havoc on their marriage."

Hopes for the Future

"If Cheryl has her way, Bobby be a three could be a three-time loser in marriage," the insider told reporters. "She's considering divorce because Bobby's out-of-the-blue sexting affair with a woman four decades his junior has definitely curbed her enthusiasm about their tumultuous union."

At the end of last month, Nuzzi—a 31-year-old star political reporter for New York magazine based in Washington, D.C.—came clean about her sexting relationship with Kennedy—a 70-year-old man she covered throughout his campaign.

According to Kennedy, who endorsed Donald Trump in August after suspending his independent presidential campaign, the two had only met once, during Nuzzi's magazine interview.

According to Page Six's sources, Nuzzi revealed that she and RFK Jr. had several passionate FaceTime conversations, during which the journalist praised the "sexual stamina" of the 70-year-old. Since then, Nuzzi has resigned from her position.
