Trump Attack Harris on Mental Fitness
Donald Trump is attacking Kamala Harris, but not on policy and not on her record.
Trump is going down the rabbit hole, attacking Harris’s mental capabilities.
He is also recommending that Harris be “impeached and prosecuted.”
Here We Go Again
I feel like we are going back to the 2016 cycle again, with the only thing missing here being the “lock her up” chants that we heard when Trump was running against Hillary.
I have been adamant that if Trump sticks to attacking the record and talking policy, he will win this election, but he keeps going off the cuff with attacks that play well to his base but not many others.
To that point, in a recent attack against Harris, Trump stated, “Crooked Joe Biden became mentally impaired.
“Sad. But lying Kamala Harris, honestly, I believe she was born that way. There’s something wrong with Kamala. And I just don’t know what it is, but there is definitely something missing.
“And you know what, everybody knows it.”
I know his base loves this type of stuff, as do some of our readers, but I think it is a waste of time and for the people looking for policy information, I think this really hurts Trump.
Not that I like being compared to Senator Graham (R-S.C.), but he agrees that this is not the way for Trump to win this election.
Graham stated, “I just think the better course to take is to prosecute the case that her policies are destroying the country.”
Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN) also agreed, reluctantly calling out Trump for this line of attack, stating, “I think we should stick to the issues. The issues are, Donald Trump fixed it once. They broke it. He’s going to fix it again. Those are the issues.”
I will be blunt… I think these attacks are childish and useless. We are a month away from the election, and people want answers, not laughs, so Trump needs to put his head down and stick to the issues at hand.
In all honesty, if Trump wants to say this stuff, save it for the rallies because everyone attending is a lock to vote for Trump.
But when he is doing interviews and posting on social media, it should be about policy and attacking Harris’ record.
Trump, contrary to what he says, is not winning in all polls by a wide margin.
He and Harris are in a virtual tie in just about every key battleground state, so he still has considerable work to do.
If he coasts home and continues these childish rants, he is going to turn the Oval Office over to Dems for another four years, and I just don’t know how we recover from that.
