SCOTUS Upholds Ruling Removing Jill Stein from NV Ballot

The U.S. Supreme Court has upheld a decision from the Nevada Supreme Court removing Green Party candidate Jill Stein from November's ballot over paperwork issues.

Nevada Democrats sued to have the Green Party removed from the presidential ballot for paperwork violations, arguing that it had used inappropriate language on its signature ballot petition, which rendered it illegitimate, a ruling agreeing with that stance will be allowed to stand.

Jill Stein responded to the initial suit by saying, "The anti-democratic party has just gone on the attack. The Green Party in Nevada and volunteers in Nevada collected 30,000 signatures, incredible, 30,000 signatures in Nevada, three times the number of signatures that’s required in the state.”

The Green Party had thousands of signatures more than they needed, but Democrats, the supposed party of democracy, sued on a technicality to deny voters a third-party choice on the ballot.

Ultimately, the Nevada Supreme Court found that it was the Nevada Secretary of State's fault for sending the Green Party the wrong paperwork thus invalidating the signatures. SCOTUS upheld that ruling, dealing a blow to third-party advocates.

Democrats Killing Democracy

Democrats have raved about protecting democracy for years but didn't hesitate to exploit technicalities to eliminate any kind of opposition that could siphon votes away from them.

To add to the intrigue, Nevada's Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar, who was hailed as an “election defender," is a Democrat himself who sent the wrong paperwork that conveniently led to the far-left Green Party being removed from the ballot.

Now the Green Party will siphon many fewer votes from the Democratic Party, which was a big worry for liberals, considering that Nevada is going to be a tightly contested swing state.

Democrats tried a similar strategy in Wisconsin, but the state Supreme Court there ruled that Stein and the Green Party would remain on the ballot.

That is a huge problem for Democrats, as Wisconsin is also a key swing state, and they can't afford to lose votes to the Green Party.

Democrats have engaged in electoral shenanigans in multiple states and have manipulated the rules to crush third-party candidates. Once again, coming from the party that claims to value the ability of Americans to choose their leaders.

Nevada Closely Contested

The U.S. Supreme Court had an opportunity to smack down Democrats' electoral game-playing but the justices passed, and now Nevada's tilt has shifted. Of course, Democrats will still lose votes due to Green Party liberals feeling outraged about what happened.

RealClearPolitics’ polling for Nevada has Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump by a marginal 0.2 points in a head-to-head matchup as of this week.

That's not nearly enough of a margin for Democrats, considering that polls never capture Trump's real level of support. Furthermore, Harris has been floundering, and with another month and a half to go in the election, she could fall even further in the polls.

Even with their dirty games as evidenced by the elimination of the Green Party from the ballot, Nevada may already be lost for Democrats.
