California Democrat Leaves Party

Another powerful Democrat is leaving the party.

This time it is former California State Senator Gloria Romero, the former majority leader.

She says the party is no longer her party, so she is flipping over to the Good Old Party.

Time to Go

Romero has been a Democrat virtually her entire life, but that is about to change.

During her press conference to announce she was crossing the aisle, she stated, “I am now another near-life-long Democrat who is joining the growing number of people, including key groups like Latinos, who are leaving the Democratic Party.

“This is not the Democratic Party that I once championed. I do not recognize it anymore, and I cannot continue. I changed my voting registration today as the sun was rising, to Republican, which has, under Donald Trump, become the champion of working people.”

Romero took no time to cash in on her newfound fame, going on Fox News with Laura Ingraham to slam Kamala Harris’ record on education when she was the California Attorney General.

Romero claimed that Harris had done “nothing to change the schools.”

She explained, “I have tried championing school choice, and education freedom in California.

“Her record as attorney general showed that she did nothing to change the schools, to provide for school choice.”

Then she blasted Harris for sticking with the unions over the minority parents in her school district, stating, “Yet, she went to court with the teachers union — very powerful big donors — to block education reforms that these families had had the courage to go to court and sue over.

“That is the record of the attorney general of California.”

I have told you guys before, for Harris, it is not about the cases that she prosecuted to the full extent of the law, but instead about the plea deals and cases she just tossed into the shredder.

I have done the digging, and it is only a matter of time before the real record of Harris is exposed.
