Tim Walz Hurting More Than Helping Harris Campaign
Is it time for Kamala Harris to seriously consider replacing Tim Walz as her VP?
If you look at polling and the negative news cycle he has created, many would say yes.
To add insult to injury for Walz, a new poll in Minnesota shows he is doing more harm than good.
But He Was Re-elected
I love when I see politicians polling horribly in their home states that were re-elected to office.
I cannot help but wonder what people were thinking when they pulled the trigger over and above the party.
Look at Nancy Pelosi’s approval rating, and Mitch McConnell for that matter, yet both of them have aged into dirt while serving in Congress.
And now there is Tim Walz, who was blistered in a recent poll conducted in his home state.
Before Harris selected Walz, she was leading Trump 50-40% in a statewide poll.
Now, after Walz has been added to the ticket, Harris is only leading Trump 48-43% in a Minnesota poll.
And remember, Harris just had the benefit of her national convention, so that lead should have increased, not been cut in half.
And I know what you are thinking. People are finally realizing that Harris is still Harris, but the poll does not suggest that.
A whopping 34% of Minnesotans see Walz as a poor pick, 12% say he is a fair selection, and 52% say he is a good or excelling choice for Harris.
Walz got hammered by male voters, with 40% calling him a poor choice. And the same situation is in place with parents, where 35% said Walz was a poor choice.
When Harris chose Walz, I was stunned, as I believe she could have pretty much sealed the election by picking PA Governor Shapiro.
However, Shapiro is Jewish, and we all know what the far-left thinks about Jewish people these days, so he was shelved, and she went with Walz.
I believe the September 10 debate is going to settle this election, and I am looking forward to post-debate polling.
Give me until the beginning of October, and I think I should have a pretty good handle on how the battleground states will fall.
