Pelosi Distances Herself from Kamala Harris Nomination

Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appears to be trying to distance herself from the manner in which Kamala Harris got the nomination.

Pelosi knows that eventually this nomination will be questioned, if not legally challenged.

So, now she is saying she wanted a more open primary, only Harris took advantage and had the nomination before anyone else could do anything about it.

Taking Advantage

Pelosi addressed the nomination with the Wall Street Journal this week, giving herself a little distance from any future issues.

Pelosi stated, "Many of us who were concerned about the election wanted to have an open process. It was an open process, anyone could have gotten in.”

There actually was an open process, and it is called the primary election, which Joe Biden won.

In this country, you don’t get to drop out just because you are behind in polling, but that is what Democrats forced Biden to do.

Pelosi continued, "[Harris] had the endorsement of the president, and she, politically astutely, took advantage of it and shut down — not shut down, but won the nomination. But anybody else could have gotten in.”

Really, Nancy?

Harris had the nomination locked down within 48 hours from delegates. If you really wanted to make this legit, you would have called for a one-day primary across the nation to allow the American people to vote for Joe’s replacement.

Pelosi then tried to paint Biden as a hero, stating, "He made the decision about how we would proceed, and I respect him for the decision.

“His selflessness is something that the American people admire greatly, and the reaction that people have had to it, I hope, is satisfying to him in return.”

Biden is not a hero, and he did not want to drop out. I guarantee you he was threatened and chose to go out this way rather than have the 25th Amendment enacted against him.

Again, I just don’t understand why the GOP is not litigating this. My only guess is that they are saving it as a response if Trump loses, then they will challenge Harris’ candidacy in court.
