Woman Accuses Former Alabama State Senator of Sexual Assault

I have seen Democrats accused of a lot of things, but this one takes the cake.

According to a new report, former Alabama State Senator Doug Ghee, a Democrat, has been accused of sexually assaulting an inmate.

The investigation reportedly started in July and is still ongoing.

He Assaulted Me

Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Wade confirmed to local outlets that the investigation is taking place.

He stated, "I take this very seriously and the investigation is ongoing with the sheriff's office and the Alabama Attorney General's Office.

“Several complaints have also been made to the Alabama Bar Association seeking disciplinary action."

According to the complaint, Ghee was visiting the jail when he had an interaction with a 29-year-old inmate in a meeting room meant for client-attorney meetings.

The inmate, at the time, was handcuffed and shackled.

She claims that Ghee offered to secure her a favorable deal for $2,500 as well as becoming his sex slave in exchange for his influence with local judges.

During one visit, she claimed that Ghee kissed her against her will and assaulted her by touching her breasts and throat.

The suit states, “Defendant Ghee’s egregious sexual harassment and other conduct in this case was extreme and outrageous.

“[Plaintiff] was already in a fragile state as she was facing a 15-year prison sentence.

“Defendant Ghee raised [Plaintiff’s] hopes of getting a lower sentence but only at the demand for money and to become a sex slave upon release.

“Then upon his second visit, he committed sexual assault, battery, and false imprisonment on her while she was chained and shackled.”

The former Senator is now facing allegations of battery, extortion, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, false imprisonment, and wantonness.

Just another case of someone abusing their power, something that sadly seems to be the norm in our political world these days.
