Former First Lady of Argentina Says She Was Forced to Get Abortion

A bit of a bombshell came out of Argentina this week.

Fabiola Yáñez, the former First Lady of Argentina, stated that she became pregnant before she and former President Alberto Fernández were married.

She then claimed the former president “forced” her to get an abortion because he was not ready to become a father.

He Made Me Do It

Before meeting the future president, Yáñez was an actress and a journalist.

She started dating Fernandez in 2014, and the two were engaged in 2016.

She stated, “While living together and in accordance with the plans of engagement, trusting in his words regarding wanting to have another child with me, and start a family, it turned out that shortly after living together I became pregnant.

“The joy and surprise was immense on my part until I told him.”

She then stated that he started to reject her and treated her with contempt, adding, “This time regarding our unborn child, he told me, ‘This can't happen, I'm in shock.’”

Yáñez further stated, “He told me, ‘I can't tell anyone that I'm going to have a child with you in such a short time,’ and I told him, ‘But then why didn't you tell me? We would have been careful.'

“He told me, ‘We have to resolve it, you have to abort.’”

This was all part of her testimony in her claims that Fernandez physically abused her when they were together.

She did not provide a date for when the abortion took place, but pictures were leaked of Yáñez being badly beaten, with a black eye and bruises on her arm.

Fernández has publicly denied Yáñez's accusations and says he can provide proof that she is lying about her injuries and the abuse allegations.

I, for one, look forward to seeing him try to wriggle out of this one.
