Vance Defends Trump’s Blunt Comments

The media has always been critical of the comments that come from Trump, especially when he starts going after Democrat minorities.

Joe Biden was an easy target because he is an old white man, but Harris being a black woman brings up a lot of potential landmines for Trump, and the media will eat him alive every time he so much as looks at her the wrong way.

This had made JD Vance his apologist, and that was the main focus of a recent interview with Vance.

Earned the Right

When Trump stays on message, he generally does a pretty good job.

Trump tends to get himself into trouble when he goes off-script, but that is exactly what his base loves about him.

Vance addressed this issue, stating, "I think one of the things people actually love about Donald Trump in politics is he’s not unwilling to speak off the cuff. He says what’s actually on his mind.

“He’s not always filtered. I think that’s a good thing and part of his appeal.”

Vance later added, "If you look at this race, we’re talking about policy. That’s 90% of what we’re doing. And I think that’s going to keep on happening."

The problem for Trump now is that everything that worked for him in 2016 failed him in 2020 and it is failing him now.

The nicknames are no longer funny, and people are tired of him complaining about polls when he is down and touting them when he is up.

Americans are getting crushed right now and they don’t really care if Kamala Harris’ rally crowd was AI or real or if she had 10,000 or 15,000 people at her rally.

Trump needs to concentrate on real issues, not getting his ego hurt because Harris packed them in at a rally and the media says she is drawing bigger crowds.

Rally crowds don’t win elections, votes do, and Trump needs to find a better way to appeal to voters with Harris now in the race.

Even some of Trump’s loyalists are expressing concern, with Kevin McCarthy recently stating, "You’ve got to make this race not on personalities.

"Stop questioning the size of her crowds and start questioning her position."

Nikki Haley recently offered up some advice along the same lines, but Vance is pushing back, stating, "To the people who say that Donald Trump should do something different, they had an opportunity to make Donald Trump do something different by challenging him over three separate primaries, every single one of which he won.

“I think Donald Trump has earned the right to run the kind of campaign that he wants to run.”

Well, Trump has been doing the same thing since Harris entered the race, and he is losing ground every day.

And I will be the first one to say we have state-run media that is helping Democrats, but we knew that going in, so we have to defeat that.

I don’t agree with Vance here. I think Trump needs to change things up, and he better do it quickly, as early voting starts in less than a month, and the election itself is less than three months away.
