Omar Pulls Out Win in Primary Race

All the talk of Rep. Ilhan Omar getting ousted in her primary race was just that… talk.

As it turns out, she handily won her primary race and is now likely to defend her seat in the general election.

By current numbers, Omar won the primary race by double digits, far better than she fared in the 2022 election when she won by just 2%.

She’s Back

The Squad and Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have been adversaries almost from day one.

While Pelosi often defended the Squad against Republican attacks, she was known to throw a jab or two at them, especially Omar and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).

Most of us were hoping that Omar would get ousted after seeing Reps. Bush (D-MO) and Bowman (D-N.Y.) lose their primary races.

In reality, Omar lives in a district with a very large Somalian population, so while there was a legitimate challenge, she was probably never really at risk the way we initially thought.

That was made quite apparent in her last set of polling, where she jumped out to a massive lead against her opponent, Don Samuels.

Samuels did his best to play off Omar’s radical reputation, with one ad saying, “Omar advocated abolishing the police with gun violence surging and voted against President Biden’s plan to rebuild roads and bridges and expand public transportation and EV charging networks.

“We deserve better.”

He was right… but that message just did not sink in within the district, which is very loyal to Omar.

We can take some solace in knowing that at least two of the more radical members of the House are gone, both clearly more in line with terrorists than our allies.

Omar, however, is just as bad, as she has zero loyalty to Israel and has made it quite clear she considers Netanyahu a war criminal while giving Palestine and Hamas a free pass.

I can say without a doubt that I consider her a traitor to our country, but the people in her district do not see it that way.

It also goes to show you just how dangerous Minnesota Governor Tim Walz can be in the White House, hailing from the same state as Omar.
