Oklahoma Appeals to Supreme Court Over Funding Loss

Once again, we have the Democrats doing something for which they tried to rake Trump over the coals.

It was established during the Trump presidency that federal funding cannot be withheld for partisan political reasons.

Yet, we have the Biden administration doing exactly that to Oklahoma.

Here We Go Again

When Trump was in office, his administration tried to block funding for abortion.

After all of this was litigated, the courts stated that federal funding could not be withheld for a partisan issue.

Mind you, Dems lost their minds when Trump did it, but now we have a precedent, yet Biden is trying to do the very same thing to Oklahoma.

So, Oklahoma is now asking the Supreme Court to step in to return funding that was revoked by Health and Human Services. It revoked $4.5 million because Oklahoma was not properly referring abortion counseling services under Biden’s Title X rules.

Biden’s rule change requires “neutral, factual information and nondirective counseling” about all their options, including abortion, followed by facts about where the service could be obtained.

But, here is the thing…

Abortion is now something that has been returned to the states, so the federal government has no say in how states run these programs.

Unless I am misunderstanding the law and precedent, any federal funding that requires such counseling is unconstitutional and, thus, null and void.

I guess we are about to find out because Oklahoma is going right to the Supreme Court with its emergency appeal, which will be decided upon by Justice Gorsuch.

If I were the Biden administration, I would not be expecting this case to fall in its favor.
