Melania Trump's 'Melania' memoir will be released this fall

Former first lady Melania Trump has maintained more privacy than any first lady in recent history, but the veil of secrecy will be lifted, at least a little, with the publication of a newly announced book.

According to The Associated Press, The former first lady has a memoir being published, slated to come out this fall, called “Melania.”

The work has been hailed by her office as “a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has carved her own path, overcome adversity, and defined personal excellence.”

This is the first memoir written by Melania Trump, who has been largely absent from public life all while her husband, former President Donald Trump, is on the verge of returning to the White House.

The Release

“Melania” will be released by Skyhorse Publishing, which has published such Donald Trump supporters as former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and attorney Alan Dershowitz.

In addition, Skyhorse has collaborated with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a third-party presidential candidate, and Michael Cohen, a former Trump insider who eventually became one of his harshest critics. Additionally, forewords by Steve Bannon, a Trump ally, are included in certain Skyhorse publications.

On Thursday, Melania Trump's office announced the memoir, but they did not say when it will be released or whether it would be out before November's election.

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Trump's longtime aide, wrote a book about the president, but Trump herself has never written a lengthy autobiography.

About the Book

Melania Trump “invites readers into her world, offering an intimate portrait of a woman who has lived an extraordinary life,” the announcement said, in part.

“‘Melania’ includes personal stories and family photos she has never before shared with the public.”

According to a spokesperson, there was no additional information that could be provided beyond what was stated in the press release.

The press release did not mention any financial terms, promotional plans, or whether or not she collaborated with another author.
