Vulnerable Democrat Senator Will NOT Campaign with Harris

You can always tell the strength of a presidential candidate by the other candidates in a state who are up for a heavily contested seat.

Case in point, Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH).

Brown is reportedly going to skip the Democrat National Convention and will not appear on the campaign trail with Harris.

Not My Candidate

Brown is in the middle of a nasty primary battle with Republican Bernie Moreno.

Brown, who once had as much as an 8-point lead against Moreno, is now nursing a 4-point lead in the race.

So, instead of wasting a full week at the convention and tagging along with Harris, Brown stated that he would be concentrating on his own battle.

And trust me, if Brown thought standing next to Harris on stage would help him win his election, he would be doing it.

So, this gives us all a really good idea of how Ohioans feel about Kamala Harris.

On the diss of Harris, Brown stated, “I’ve got my own schedule. She’s got her own schedule. I will focus on my race.

“My strategy is perhaps different from hers … talking about the differences on abortion rights and on the minimum wage between Bernie Moreno and me and how I fight every day for the dignity of work.”

On skipping the convention, he added, “I often skip conventions.

“My job is to fight for Ohio workers.

“You can talk about the presidential race. That’s your job. … I know that what will matter is people vote for me because I stand up for workers and will continue to fight for workers.”

Moreno believes all this helps his election hopes, and that seems to be presenting itself in polling.

On the change of candidates in the race, he stated, “Oh, it helps me tremendously.

“So maybe Scranton Joe had a little bit of credibility here in Ohio. San Francisco Kamala absolutely does not.”

This is a race we will keep our eyes on and update as we see more polling.

Believe me, Democrats are almost already assured of losing the Senate, but losing this seat would all but guarantee a change in power.
