Man arrested for trying to break into Mar-a-Lago to see Trump

If you care about President Donald Trump's safety, then this has undoubtedly been a really rough few weeks on your nerves.

First, Trump nearly lost his life when he was shot in the ear at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.

Now, JustTheNews.com is reporting that a foreign citizen has been charged with trespassing for trying to get into Mar-a-Lago, the home of Donald Trump.

Zijie Li, a 38-year-old who lives in California but maintains Chinese citizenship, was caught trying to get into Mar-a-Lago "multiple times."

Li claimed that he had documents that PROVED that the Chinese government played a role in the assassination attempt on Donald Trump at his campaign rally.

Federal law enforcement has said that a lone gunman, Thomas Crooks, was responsible for the shooting.

One audience member was killed during the attack and two more were sent to the hospital with critical wounds.

Li's assertion that China's government played a role in the shooting would contradict everything America's federal government has told us so far.

Zijie Li first attempted to enter Mar-a-Lago just six days after the shooting, on July 19. He pulled up to the resort's gates in a gray Prius at about eight in the evening and wanted to speak with Donald Trump so that he could explain the documents.

Trump was not home on account of being at the Republican National Convention, but there's zero chance that Li would have been allowed to see Trump regardless.

Li was told that trying to access the resort without permission was trespassing and was given a written warning about not returning to the resort.

According to JustTheNews, Li was persistent about seeing Donald Trump, and simply returned again and again:

"The suspect was then spotted in Palm Beach again on July 22, where he drove over the Royal Park Bridge twice. Trump was at his resort at the time, but it is not clear if Li tried to get further than that. He returned again on July 30, and allegedly drove toward a security checkpoint for Mar-a-Lago, but he was approached by security when he blocked a lane," the report said.

An officer noticed during the July 30 that the suspect's vehicle had its GPS destination set as Mar-a-Lago. Li was released again but kept returning.

Eventually, Li was arrested late in the afternoon on July 30.

City and local police have not commented on the arrest, nor have they spoken about the documents the suspect allegedly possessed.
