Victim Shot and Killed During Trump Rally Identified

Saturday was a horrible day for this country.

A lunatic decided to try to take out Donald Trump, and while the motive is not yet known, most of us believe the shooter was inspired by the rhetoric in today’s political scene.

That rhetoric cost Corey Comperatore his life, as he shielded his wife and child as shots were ringing out.

A True Hero

Bravery was in this man’s blood, as Comperatore is a former fire chief in Pennsylvania.

A local report stated that even though he was retired, he was still very well-liked and admired in the local community.

Comperatore’s sister, Dawn Comperatore Schafer, posted on social media, “The hatred for one man took the life of the one man we loved the most. He was a hero who shielded his daughters.

“His wife and girls just lived through the unthinkable and unimaginable.”

His daughter, Allyson, called her father “the best dad a girl could ever ask for,” later adding, “He truly loved us enough to take a real bullet for us.”

In addition to Comperatore being shot and killed, there were two other people attending who were wounded, and of course, Donald Trump was shot in the ear.

It still amazes me that Trump turning to point to a graph that he had displayed at the rally saved his life.

Had he not turned, the bullet would have likely hit him in the side of the head, ending his life, and sending this country into complete turmoil and chaos.

Donald Trump’s campaign has already announced a GoFundMe page to help the families of all three victims, but no money will ever replace the life of a good man.

Our condolences and thoughts are with the Comperatore family as well as the other victims of this utterly senseless violence.
