Press Secretary Caught Spreading Misinformation

Earlier this week, the White House was rattled by reports that a Parkinson’s specialist had visited the White House eight times in eight months.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre denied he was there to see Joe Biden, but new reports broke that showed she was lying.

Now Jean-Pierre and the White House are scrambling to fix her previous comments.

Earlier this week, we had reported that reporter Ed O’Keefe and Jean-Pierre got into a rather tense exchange regarding White House visit logs that showed a Parkinson’s specialist had visited the White House eight times in eight months.

KJP refused to admit that it was to see Joe Biden.

After that exchange, AP’s Seung Min Kim asked Jean-Pierre, “Can you say whether that one meeting [between Cannard and O’Connor] was related to care for the president himself?”

Jean-Pierre then responded, “I can say that it was not.”

To put it bluntly, she lied, and then she was forced to try to clean up this mess, blaming it on the journalist for not having a date attached to the question.

Jean-Pierre tried to spin this, stating, “Because the date was not mentioned in the question, I want to be clear that the Jan. 17 meeting between [presidential physician] Dr. [Kevin] O’Connor and Dr. Cannard was for the president’s physical.

“It was one of the three times the president has seen Dr. Cannard, each time for his physical. The findings from each exam have been released to the public.”

Well, what about the other visits that the doctor had made to the White House?

The good news for the American people is that the media is finally holding KJP accountable for her lies, and something tells me the temperature in the White House briefing room is not going to get turned down anytime soon.
