Schumer Hoping to Strip Trump of Immunity After SCOTUS Ruling

And so it begins…

From the moment the Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity was released, Democrats and liberals have been painting an extreme narrative that simply is not true.

That would now include Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), who is hoping to have legislation passed to strip Trump of any possible immunity protections.

Blocking Trump

The legislation by Schumer is unnecessary and a complete waste of time and taxpayer dollars.

First, it will never get through the House with the GOP calling the shots.

Second, I firmly believe the courts will rule correctly on whether Trump’s actions were part of his presidential duties or not.

Schumer invoked the infamous line from Richard Nixon during Watergate, stating, "When the president does it, that means it’s not illegal.”

The Senate Majority Leader stated, "[The Supreme Court] incorrectly declared that former President Donald Trump enjoys broad immunity from criminal prosecution for actions he took while in office."

He later added, "We were all taught in grade school that there are no kings here in America, but what the conservative justices have done is effectively place a crown on Donald Trump’s head.”

Schumer then went on the attack by fearmongering the American people, stating, "Donald Trump and the MAGA right will plunge our country into an abyss of extremism the vast majority of Americans oppose and which America has really never seen.”

Rest assured, Donald Trump will never have a “crown” adorned on his head, simply because We the People would never allow such a thing to happen.

Even Donald Trump has dismissed this idea, stating to exhaustion that he will leave office after his four years are up and turn the presidency over to a new leader.

The outrage over this is staggering, especially when you consider that Barack Obama had stated that he would love to serve a third term if he could do it from his basement and have someone else be the face of the administration.

I think we can make a pretty good argument right now that it has already happened.
