GOP to Hold Vote for Garland Contempt
Attorney General Merrick Garland is about to find himself on the wrong side of the law.
The GOP is reportedly moving ahead with a vote to hold Garland in contempt of Congress.
This is all related to Garland’s refusal to turn over the interview tapes between Special Counsel Hur and Joe Biden regarding the classified documents that were found in Biden’s home and office.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) appears to be taking the lead on the GOP’s desire to force Garland’s hand.
Since the DOJ has already stated that it would not move forward with a criminal referral against Garland, the GOP is hoping to levy a fine against Garland until he complies with the order.
Luna is proposing a $10,000 per day fine until Garland turns over the tapes.
Luna stated, "What I will say is that for a lot of people, this is something that's definitely going to hurt.
“I don't think that Garland wants to take one for the team, if you will, in regards to continuing to fight, even though he knows that Biden is not cognitively there, so I think that it'll serve two purposes.
"One, obviously, there shouldn't be a double standard of justice in this country.
“We have people in jail for doing what he did, but also two, I do believe that it will force him to produce either the tapes or to step down.”
There are two reasons the GOP wants these tapes.
The first to literally check word-for-word from the tape to the transcript to ensure that the Dems were not covering for Biden when the interview was transcribed.
Second, the GOP wants to hear how Biden was talking during this interview to see if the tapes show any signs of mental decline, especially now after that disastrous debate performance by Biden.
Luna touched on this narrative, stating, “I think that it's very possible that Biden either forgot who he was or is so bad in the interview that he would have reason for his own Cabinet to basically invoke the 25th Amendment.
"What's scary is that there have been people like Garland who have been willing to break the law in trying to protect him [Biden]. So what I would say is for the American people, even Democrats that are concerned about Biden being the nominee, what is on these tapes that they would go to such great lengths to essentially basically protect him?
"It is our job, a constitutional obligation that we have to ensure that the American people are being protected. We need to hear the tapes. They're interfering with a congressional investigation."
Trust me on this… there is a reason that Democrats have not wanted those tapes released.
My gut tells me that they know if we hear those tapes, it will be almost a certainty that the calls to invoke the 25th Amendment grow louder.
And if they do eventually invoke the 25th Amendment, we must ensure they do not get to play hero here.
Dems and the media have been selling Joe Biden as “sharp and focused” while the American people and Republicans have been demanding testing.
This is arguably the biggest coverup we have seen in modern politics.
