Bruce Springsteen’s Daughter Fails to Make Olympic Team

Well, money cannot actually buy everything.

Case in point: the daughter of legendary rock star Bruce Springsteen failed to make the Olympic team.

Jessica Springsteen competed in 2020 and won a silver medal, so it was rather shocking that she could not make the final roster this time.

Not Selected

After her performance in the 2020 games, I am sure everyone thought they would get to see Springsteen again in 2024, but it was not meant to be.

This is a VERY competitive event, and unfortunately for her fans, she was left off the roster this time.

According to a CBS News report, the 2024 team will be comprised of “Florida resident Kent Farrington with their 2014 Oldenburg mare Greya, Florida resident Laura Kraut and their 2010 Hanoverian gelding Baloutinue, and New York resident McLain Ward and their 2013 KWPN gelding Ilex. California resident Karl Cool will serve as an alternate alongside their 2012 Selle Français mare Caracole de la Roque.”

Chef d'Equipe Robert Ridland stated, "We are very lucky to have three of the most experienced athletes in the sport riding horses that are in top form heading into the Games.

“Additionally, we have a strong alternate athlete horse combination in Karl and Caracole who have shown great recent form.

"Now that selection is complete, we are 100% laser-focused on Paris."

Springsteen has had a tough time after making the Tokyo games team, slipping to 167th in the world rankings.

At only 33 years old, this is hardly the end of the road for Springsteen.

Look no further than Farrington as proof of that, who is competing at the age of 44, and Kraut, who is 59, and Ward, who is 49.

Farrington is the top-rated rider on the US team, currently ranked 6th in the world.

So, while the Springsteen family is clearly disappointed, this will not be the last we hear from her in this sport.
