Alabama Lawmaker Arrested on Felony Charges

A report out of Alabama will probably shock not a single person reading this.

Yet another Democrat was arrested on felony charges.

This time, it was Alabama State Rep. Kelvin Jamichael Lawrence, a 50-year-old Democrat of Lowndes County.

The Corruption Runs Deep

Democrats have been rocked by corruption over the last two years, the most notable being the current trial of New Jersey Democrat Senator Robert Menendez.

This was hardly Menendez’s first time being accused, but he has managed to beat all the charges to this point.

This time, however, authorities appear to have enough evidence to finally convict him.

Lawrence joins that illustrious group, now facing charges of fraud and forgery.

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall’s office stated, “The indictment alleges that Lawrence, with the intent to defraud, falsely made, completed, or altered a builder’s license.

“Both forgery and criminal possession of a forged instrument are Class C felonies punishable by 1 year and 1 day to 10 years in prison.”

Democrat corruption runs deep in Alabama. Democratic State Rep. Fred L. Plump, Jr. and Democratic State Rep. John Westley Rogers, Jr. have also faced charges. Rogers pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud, and Plump recently pleaded guilty to similar charges.

The days of government officials working for the We the People have long since passed, as a political office has just become a tool for corruption.

We seem to have more con artists holding office than actual public servants.
