White House Touting Lower Gas Prices, But…

This week, the White House was gushing over the fact that gas prices had slightly declined.

In fact, a White House spokesperson touted the prices were the lowest they have been in three years.

Only, there are a few problems when we really take a look at this.

Yeah, But…

First and foremost, with Joe Biden clamping down on domestic fossil fuel production, he has been forced to sell off roughly half the oil reserves we had when he entered office.

Biden has been able to offset some of the rising prices by interjecting this oil into the supply, but that does not come without a price.

Our strategic reserves are meant for emergencies, and a new domestic policy that is not working does not constitute an emergency.

If our supply chain was cut off from the Middle East or if we went to war, Biden has literally put national security at risk for political gain because of how low our strategic reserves are right now.

Second, gas prices are still a far cry from where they were when Trump was in office, yet, this is the nonsense that the White House puts out…

Not only that, as I have stated in previous reports, this is the calm before the storm, and that storm is coming soon.

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, stated, "For those hitting the road to celebrate Independence Day, gas prices have seen modest recent fluctuations, but most states are seeing prices near or even well below where they were a year ago.

"While the first half of the summer has been relatively smooth sailing, the road ahead may be bumpy.

“Activity in the tropics has increased, and projections remain for a very busy hurricane season.

“Even after the holiday fireworks are over, we’ll be watching for any potential fireworks at the pump that could be brought on by hurricanes disrupting refineries."

And as we all know, when gasoline prices start to rise, the prices of goods follows due to transportation costs of those goods going up.

And just for reference, in July 2020, which was Trump’s last Independence Day in office, gasoline prices were $2.18 per gallon.

When Trump left office, gasoline averaged $2.33 per gallon.

Since Joe Biden has been in office, the closest we came to that price was Biden’s first month in office, when gasoline was $2.50 per gallon.

Since June 2021, gasoline prices have never gone below $3.00 per gallon.

So, that, my friends, is what we like to call gaslighting.
