Ivanka Trump Breaks Silence on Her Father’s Legal Problems and Candidacy

Ever since Donald Trump left office in 2021, Ivanka Trump has more or less gone into hiding.

She has openly stated that she wants nothing to do with a second Trump term, although she did say she will support her father from afar.

This week, she finally offered up a bit more, even stating that she would be attending the Republican National Convention.

She Speaks

Ivanka and her father have always been very close, so it was a given that she would join him on his staff once he won the presidential election.

Her time in his administration was not without controversy, however.

There is the nepotism angle as well as the fact Ivanka is more left than right, and that very much came through in the policies she influenced when her father was in office.

Ivanka came under fire from both sides, so it was not exactly a surprise to see her slink away into hiding after Trump left office.

Recently, however, she opened up a bit more, doing an interview with podcaster Lex Fridman.

Ivanka stated, “On a human level, it’s my father and I love him very much, so it’s painful to experience, but ultimately, I wish it didn’t have to be this way.”

While many members of the Trump clan are going to serve as delegates at the convention, she will not be one of them, nor will Barron Trump.

However, she will attend the convention in support of her father, which is good for Trump.

There have been more than a few articles written about the fact the two most important women in Trump’s life have not been present on the campaign trail or at his trials.

I would expect both of them, the other being Melania Trump, to attend the convention as Trump is confirmed as the Republican nominee in the 2024 presidential election in Milwaukee later this month.
